Came to Athens at the age of 18 and joined Plato's school, was both student and the teacher at academy.

He made a great argument against Plato's form theory: if the man was created from ideal form. This man to have any conceivable content should be based on a form of the form of man, and so on to infinity.

Instead Aristotle was seeking for the confirmation and truth in evidences in the world around us, basically using Empirism as a basis.

Even funnier thing that both Plato and Aristotle had background and relation to science, but the former was close to theoretical mathematics, so where it comes a theory of forms, while Aristotle was closer to biology and physics.

As soon as you study all characteristics of the object, you start to distinguish it from others. Was so obsessed with his theory that he started to collect and classify species by different properties and created first hierarchy of them

Invented the first form of formal Logic - syllogism.

"All men are mortal, Socrates is a man, therefore Socrates is mortal"
