Don't collect things, try to reduce the inbox instead. For example if you are saving articles -> read them as soon as possible. Same with highlights or papers.

Research, Read, Assimilate; rinse and repeat

The shorter the cycle the better. Optimise the cycle by processing notes, highlights same day/hour.
